Ajmal P.S. BIM Coordinator with 10+ years in Qatar, across HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting. I also write the Revit automation my team runs on.
I take MEP models from concept through construction documentation to as-built, on both the consultant and the contractor side. My projects cover airports, petrochemical plants, schools, towers and mixed-use developments. Day to day that means Revit modelling, Navisworks clash detection, federated model reviews, and keeping LOD and project BIM standards enforced at every milestone.
The part that sets my work apart is what happens around the model. I build the automation my team runs on: Revit add-ins in C# and pyRevit, Dynamo scripts, AutoLISP routines, and an AI agent connected straight into a live Revit session. Repetitive drafting work goes to the tools, so the team's time goes to coordination.
Consultant and contractor sides, from villas to a live petrochemical plant.
All in Qatar. Models and drawings stay with the clients, so what you see here is scope and role, not their files.
Industrial HVAC BIM on a live plant. Services share pipe racks with process lines, and access clearances are non-negotiable, so every route is checked against structure, process and existing services before issue.
Fourteen buildings delivered from one coordinated MEP type model. Get the standards, parameters and drawing set right once and all fourteen stay consistent. Get it wrong once and you fix it fourteen times.
MEP renovation under a live operating terminal, with a deadline that could not move. Routes proven against survey and existing services before fabrication, and the drawing set kept pace with the programme.
MEP modelling and drawing production across several phases of a large mixed-use development, with clash detection and consultant approvals through every submission.
Full MEP services modelled in Revit, with riser coordination, builder's work openings and as-built drawings through to handover.
MEP modelling and coordination drawings for a traditional market development, keeping services workable inside tight ceiling zones.
AJ-Tools started as AutoLISP routines to stop repeating drafting work by hand. It grew into a Revit add-in suite in C# and pyRevit with its own installer, so the whole drafting team runs the same version of the same tools.
The next step: an AI agent that carries out real modelling work on a live, open Revit model. It reads a knowledge package first, so its output follows real BIM practice instead of generic answers. A Node.js MCP connector links it straight into the open Revit session.
Open to BIM Coordinator and MEP BIM Specialist roles, and to automation work. Based in Doha, QID with NOC, available to join immediately.
